Poorna Bell is a multifaceted professional, excelling as an award-winning journalist, captivating motivational speaker, published author and influential figure. Formerly the UK Executive Editor and Global Lifestyle Head for HuffPost, Poorna now operates as a freelance journalist and editor for esteemed publications such as The Guardian, Red magazine, The I Paper, Stylist, Grazia, Women’s Health, and the Daily Telegraph.

Recognised for her remarkable contributions, Poorna received Stylist magazine’s Rising Star Award at their inaugural Remarkable Women Awards 2019. Her debut book, “Chase the Rainbow,” published in 2017, received widespread acclaim for its poignant portrayal of one man’s mental health journey, told from the perspective of his loving partner. Poorna’s second book, “In Search of Silence,” released in May 2019, was a recipient of Red’s Big Book Awards 2019.

Her third book, “Stronger,” released in Spring 2021, blends manifesto and memoir elements, drawing inspiration from Poorna’s quest for physical strength following her husband’s passing, during which she became a competitive powerlifter. Recognised for its exceptional content, the book was honoured as Sports Performance Book Of The Year by The Sunday Times. Poorna also champions women’s stories in fitness through her personal blog, See My Strong, aiming to inspire and empower women of diverse backgrounds and body shapes.

Poorna’s literary achievements extend to fiction with her first novel, “In Case of Emergency,” hailed as Stylist’s book of the summer upon its July 2022 release. Her new novel, “This Is Fine,” is scheduled for release on June 13th.

As a passionate advocate for mental health and wellness, Poorna has served as both a facilitator and guest speaker at numerous events, including the Global Ministerial Mental Health Summit. Renowned for her captivating presentations, she has delivered keynotes for esteemed corporations like Spotify, Twitter, The Financial Times, and Ernst & Young.
